This year at SEMA (Specialty Equipment Market Association) there were numerous Ford Mustang GTs.   The Ford Mustang has been the number one selling sports car in America for the last 45 years.

The fastest Mustang currently being sold is the 2017 Mustang Shelby GT350.  Having a 5.2L V8 engine, with 526 horsepower and 429 of lb-ft torque.  It’s aerodynamically- limited to 169 mph.  The vehicle is designed for speed so basically anything extra is out, USB ports, floor mats, all that.

The other main Mustang at SEMA 2016 was the Mustang GT Fastback.  It has a 5.0L V8.  With 435 hp and 400 lb-gt of torque and a 6 speed transmission.  It has a top speed of 164 mph.

The first Mustang was made in 1964.  With a straight 6 3.3L. and 120 hp.  Compared to the models now, you can see how much the Mustang has improved.
At SEMA this year the Mustang was awarded as the hottest coupe.  Which a coupe is a vehicle with two doors and a fixed roof.
